Once a year, HPS/MAG awards grants to groups, schools, and other organizations who are working to promote horticulture and/or environmental awareness. In return, the Society asks award winners to submit a brief report with photos upon completion of the project. 

In general, grants average $300-500, although sometimes higher or lower amounts are awarded. Emphasis is given to horticultural projects that will impact the community, and grants are more apt to be provided for plants and planting materials than structures. 

The grant application form can be completed online.The next deadline is February 1, 2019.  In the past, grants were awarded twice a year. Starting in 2018 the grants will be awarded once a year. 

To award any grants, we will need the official name and address of the organization to which a check will be sent. We hope you are successful in achieving your goals.
