Spring Ephemerals in the Garden with John Lonsdale – A Visit to Edgewood GardensThis is an opportunity not to be missed. Join us for a visit to Edgewood Gardens, home of John Lonsdale and family, in Exton, PA. The 1.6-acre garden is home to several thousand hardy plants, trees, and shrubs, grown in a variety of microhabitats including raised beds, xeric beds, bog gardens, woodlands, and cold greenhouses. John also propagates and sells Cyclamen, Galanthus (snowdrops), Trillium, species peony seedlings, and a variety of companion plants. Normally only available by mail order, or at a limited number of John will give us a short talk at 10:00 AM, and you are free to explore the garden until noon. John will be available for questions during this time. The property has a steep bank to one side with pathways built into it, but it can be challenging. You will, however, have a spectacular view from the base. The rest of the property is easily navigable. Street parking is available. And a restroom is available onsite. If you are looking for a lunch destination, there are plenty of options available in the Exton area. This event is for Members only. Registration is required. Only guests who are on the same membership as the registrant are permitted to attend. The cost is $10 per person. Maximum number of guests is 25. A waitlist will be available if needed.
