A Visit to Leslie’s Hillside Garden

Leslie was inspired to design and create her hillside garden after visiting the Royal Horticultural Society’s Wisley Hillside Garden in England. While on a much smaller scale, this sunny, 5-year-old garden is sure to delight as you stroll through the hillside garden on pebble pathways, walk over and listen to the waterfall, and relax by the small "dog inspired" pond.

Specimen conifers and Japanese maples are complemented by unique shrubs and perennials. In addition there are other small gardens, including over 40 recently planted peonies, a cutting garden, and several small shade gardens filled with four season plantings. All of these support Leslie’s interest in gifting arrangements on a weekly basis to the Chester County Pocopson Home and the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County.

Garden antiques Leslie has collected during her travels in England and France are found throughout the gardens including stone troughs, olive jars, and chimney pots.

Leslie invites you to enjoy a bit of England in Coatesville.

This is a hillside garden so please be sure to wear sturdy shoes! Restrooms will not be available.

This is a Members Only event, but registration is required. $5 per attendee.Maximum number of guests is 15.

Registration opens April 3. Registration closes June 1.

Our visit will be held on Tuesday June 3, 2025 in clear skies or light rain. If we have heavy rain, our visit will be held on our Rain Date, Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
