Summer-Blooming Perennial Collection at Jenkins Arboretum and Gardens While historically known for its incredible azalea and rhododendron collection, Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens has been growing in recent years to expand and improve seasonal interest. Tens of thousands of summer-blooming perennials have recently been added to the landscape in the sunnier areas around the pond and beyond. The Hardy Plant Society has supported many of these garden improvements which have attracted visitors and wildlife alike. Come for a walk led by Steve Wright (Director of Horticulture) and Karen Miller (Head Horticulturist) to see the plants and pollinators, hear the stories of how this garden has evolved, and learn about ideas for future improvements. General admission to Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens is free. The gift shop, restrooms, art gallery, and plant shop will all be open. Jenkins is a great place to find many native plants for sale at affordable prices! The Arboretum and Gardens are open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Education Center and Garden Shop are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participants can arrive anytime, but the tour leaves promptly at 10 a.m. Arriving 15 minutes early is preferable. Wear comfortable sturdy shoes as this is a hilly site and there will be a fair amount of walking, mostly on paths. You are welcome to stay until closing. Pop-Up Details & Registration
