A Demonstration and Garden Visit in Swarthmore, PA – Learn the Secrets of Good Container Planting and Stroll through Belvidere, the Garden of Andrew Bunting
Ever been disappointed or frustrated in your efforts to make glorious container arrangements for the garden? Join Andrew Bunting, Vice President of Horticulture for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, for a summer container planting demonstration. Andrew will demonstrate how to plant a variety of containers for both sunny and shady conditions. He will discuss the “nuts and bolts” of container gardening including soils, drainage, selecting containers and plants, and design. There will also be time to visit Andrew’s beautiful home garden, Belvidere, which is situated on one third of an acre in Swarthmore. Belvidere features perennial gardens, a woodland garden and gravel garden, as well as a wide variety of beautiful containers filled with lush plantings.
Members and non-members are welcome. Registration is required. Cost for Members is $15; cost for Non-members is $30. Maximum number of guests is 25.
Registration opens April 1st. Registration closes May 17th.
