Pollinators and Their Plants - A Guided Tour of Stoneleigh: a natural garden -

Samantha Nestory will take us on a private tour of Stoneleigh: a natural garden with a focus on pollinators and their favorite native plants. Samantha shared her expertise and excitement for the amazing diversity of our area pollinators last September at a lecture cosponsored by HPS/MAG at Haverford College Arboretum. Now Sam will lead us on a tour of the beautiful gardens of Stoneleigh to see some of these pollinators in action! We will learn about our native pollinators and how our plant choices can promote these beneficial beauties in our gardens and green spaces.

Samantha is the engagement manager and naturalist at Stoneleigh: a natural garden. She is passionate about native plants, ecological gardening, and insect conservation, and she is strongly committed to educating the public about these important issues.

Stoneleigh, the public garden of Natural Lands, is a magnificent former Main Line estate with a long history as a palette for notable landscape architects. Today, inspiring gardens interpret this historic landscape through a contemporary lens, one that emphasizes beauty, biodiversity, and supporting our local ecology. The gardens of Stoneleigh are a native plant wonderland.

We will meet Sam at the Welcome Kiosk, which is the small stone building directly adjacent to the parking lot. Please arrive promptly for your tour’s start time (10:00 AM). The gates will open at 9:40 am.

This is a Members Only event, but registration is required. $15 per attendee.Maximum number of guests is 15.

Registration opens April 10th.  Registration closes May 20.

Our visit will be held on Thursday May 22, 2025 in clear skies or light rain. If we have heavy rain, this event will be canceled.
