Water Garden Special Interest Group: Tour the Gardens at Nemours

Enjoy a visit to the 200 acres of French inspired formal gardens, grounds, and woodlands at the Dupont Family’s Nemours Estate in Wilmington, Delaware on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Nemours is the largest French formal garden landscape park in North America and the gardens are patterned after those at Versailles. The gardens feature a Boxwood Garden, Colonnade, Maze Garden, and reflecting and sunken ponds. 

For the auto enthusiasts, the Chauffeur’s Garage contains a collection of vintage automobiles. To extend your time on the estate grounds, please pack a picnic lunch, and lots of water, for you and your party to enjoy as food is not provided at Nemours.

A Nemours Gardener will lead a tour of the grounds and gardens. Registration includes the guided garden and grounds tour and admission to all self-guided features including the Mansion, Chauffeur’s Garage, and Gift Shop. Your tour cost will allow you to explore the gardens on your own after the tour.
