“Bring Spring In! – Bulb Forcing Workshop"

Have you ever wondered how to get bulbs to bloom indoors weeks earlier than they would in the garden? If you attended Catherine Horgan’s presentation for HPS on September 24 you already know the basics. Whether you attended her talk or not, this event is an opportunity to join Philadelphia Flower Show blue-ribbon winner Catherine Horgan as she guides us through the process of forcing bulbs in this hands-on workshop. We'll be planting a profusion of Iris reticulata ‘Clairette’ and looking forward to a bevy of beautiful blooms in the spring. 

This workshop is being held at Floral and Hardy in Skippack, PA, a garden center worth visiting in its own right. Their nursery and gift shop will be open 8 AM to 5 PM and will be teeming with fall merchandise. And their cafe 'Blossom' is the perfect place to start your day with breakfast or coffee and/or to enjoy a post-workshop lunch. If you are able, you’ll also want to make time to explore the rest of the charming village of Skippack.

Bring an apron or appropriate gardening attire, gardening gloves, and a box that can accommodate a 6'' pot and steady it on your journey home.
